If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re enough as a Dad …
You are not alone.

You don’t have to figure fatherhood out alone.
Whether you’re preparing for your first child, navigating the chaos of parenting, or trying to become the Dad you never had, you’ll find practical guidance, honest conversations, and real hope here.
New here? This is the best place to begin.
Does this sound familiar?
- You love your kids but wonder if you’re doing enough.
- You lose your patience and regret it later.
- You want to support your wife, but sometimes you don’t know how.
- You worry about repeating mistakes from your own childhood.
- You want a peaceful home, but you’re not sure how to build one.
- You feel like everyone else has fatherhood figured out except you.
If you nodded yes to even one of those… you’re in the right place.
This Isn’t About Becoming a Perfect Dad
You don’t have to know everything. You don’t have to pretend you have it all together.
Growth is possible. Presence matters more than perfection.
Most Dads aren’t chasing perfection. They’re chasing peace. A home where their wife feels supported, their children feel safe, laughter is louder than fear, failure is not final, and spilled milk and other “mistakes” become opportunities to grow.

Meet Todd
I Didn’t Feel Ready Either.
For twenty years, my wife and I dreamed about becoming parents.
Then one day, our dream became reality, and almost overnight, I realized something I wasn’t prepared to admit.
“I had no idea what I was doing.”
I loved my family deeply. But love didn’t automatically teach me how to respond to big emotions, difficult days, or the unexpected challenges that come with becoming a father.
Like many Dads, I thought I was supposed to figure it out on my own. The more I tried to become the Dad I wanted to be, the more I realized fatherhood wasn’t just revealing my strengths—it was revealing my anxiety, my fears, and the parts of me that still needed healing.
One evening, my wife lovingly said,
“Something isn’t right. You’re not yourself.”

That conversation changed my life. It led me to counseling, then EMDR therapy, and over time, genuine healing.
I didn’t create Lifting Up Dads because I have all the answers.
I created it because I remember what it felt like to believe I should have had them.
If you’re wondering whether you are enough …
You’re not alone.
Every Dad deserves the opportunity to become the Dad he wished he had.
